Yes the school shoe issue in some schools is ridiculous.The college my sons attend only allow one particular type of shoe. The shoe retailers are even angry.at the school because they are so particular and the retailer at times cannot supply the shoe type or get a full range of the shoe. They are sick of arguing with the school and for the likes of my 13 year old who wears a size 15 shoe , I can't get the shoe type they require. But where school rules exceed common sense is that I have to write periodically a letter requesting a uniform pass. If the shoes are black and tidy why not ? The students are not allowed any white on the shoes and this includes sports shoes in relation to sport. Maybe the staff should leave school and go and look at the real world and point to us the parents where in this day and age you can buy those!
