What is the point of having a care plan? This is a featured page

The care plan gives the Court, you and your parents information about what Child, Youth and Family plans to do to improve your situation and protect you from further risk. It must set clear and achievable goals for your time in care and indicate the services, programmes and assistance which the Department will arrange. The care plan will identify who is to provide any services and assistance and will clarify what responsibilities your caregivers and your parents will have for your care and protection. The care plan will state where you are to live, where you will go to school (or where you will work) and what contact you will have with your parents and other family members.[42]

What say will I have in the plan?

[42] s130(f) and s5(b) CYPF Act
