What if I can't afford to buy the school uniform? This is a featured page

Being unable to afford a uniform should not stop you from going to school. Most schools are understanding about this if approached. Some have a second hand clothing exchange where uniform items can be purchased cheaply.

If you or your family are on a low income or benefit, the Department of Work and Income can give you a $300 advance payment once a year to buy a uniform and equipment for school. In both cases this money will need to be paid back to Work and Income.
