What do I have to prove to the Court to get a Protection Order? This is a featured page

Before a Protection Order can be granted, certain evidence must be given to the Court. This may include evidence that:
  • The Respondent has physically, mentally, or psychologically abused you or your child(ren). Doctors reports of any injuries caused by physical abuse or photographs of injuries are examples of good evidence to support your application.
  • The Respondent has encouraged another person to use physical, mental, or psychological abuse on you or your child(ren).
  • That making the order is necessary for the protection of you or your child(ren).
