  • At any District Court. Go to the Collections Office at your local District Court. They accept cash, cheques, EFT-Pos and some credit cards. (It's a good idea to phone them first to check which ones are accepted if you want to pay in this way.)
  • At any NZ Post Shop (you will need your remittance advice slip or notice)
  • By post (by cheque).
  • On-line at www.fines.govt.nz.
  • By calling the freephone fines payment centre 0800 408 409. Mon-Fri 7am to 9pm.Sat/Sun 9am to 5.30pm.
Remember that you must pay before the 'final payment date' on your letter. You will probably receive a reminder notice a few days before this date, but even if you don't, the fine is still due.
