GSE

This stands for “Group Specialist Education”. GSE’s job is to work for children with special needs and their families.

Examples of GSE’s work are:

  • · GSE has educational psychologists who decide exactly what your special educational needs are and how you can be assisted;
  • · GSE staff help your parents find the right school for you.
  • · Group Special Education Facilitators
Group Special Education facilitators help if you have special needs and there are disagreements between your school (or the school you want to enrol at) and your family. They can be contacted through your local Ministry of Education office (see What if I need more help” at the end of this information sheet).
