Article 2 of the Convention makes it clear that the rights in the Convention apply to all children regardless of the child’s age, race, colour, sex, language, political opinions, religion, their social status or their disabilities.

The Convention aims to look after children and young people all over the world from Rwanda to Rotorua, from Apia to Auckland and from West Germany to Westport.

Do not be afraid to stand up for yourself and your friends. You, are a human being, the Convention gives you rights and a voice. Be polite, but be firm.
P.S Here is one of your most important rights. Under Article 31 you are entitled to have “play time”. So go and have fun!
