Community Law Centre LawyersThis is a featured page

Community Law Centres (CLCs) are community-based legal offices which provide legal help for people in their area or group. In September 2007 there were 25 CLCs in Aotearoa New Zealand; they are funded by the Legal Services Agency. CLCs will give you legal advice and some will arrange for one of their lawyers to represent you at Court.

CLCs sometimes ask people to make a contribution towards their costs, but if you are not working, you should not be asked to pay anything.

Call your local “District Law Society” for the name of the nearest Community Law Centre or visit the Legal Services Agency website at www.lsa.govt.nz. Click on “Legal Services” then “Community Law Centres”, you will find a list of all the Community Law Centres.

If the police need to call in the 'Supportive Adult' can parents take over that role once they arrive at the station?
